Obama calls for ease of U.S. Cuban embargo

For nearly 45 years the U.S. has sanctioned Cuba with an embargo.  And in the last few years, the Bush administration has added restrictions.

Now, Sen. Barack Obama is calling for an ease of regulations to Cuba.

"Senator Obama feels that the Bush Administration has made a humanitarian and a strategic blunder," according to an Obama spokeswoman.

Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama told the National Association of Black Journalists that the question as to whether he is black enough reflects the attitudes of the African American community more than it does those of the general population.

"What it really lays bare, in part, is [that] we're still locked in this notion that if you appeal to white folks there must be something wrong."
