The United Mine Workers of America endorsed Barack Obama today, following the path of several unions in the same industry. Some of these unions said John Edwards had an influence on the endorsements they made.
Labor unions are lining up behind Obama, and supporters are hoping it'll draw in the white, blue-collar Democrats. Meanwhile, the nation's largest labor organization has yet to make an endorsement.
